Test 3

Hello class,

It is important to remind you all that WeBWorK counts for 25% of your overall class grade. That means if you produce zero WeBWorK over the course of the semester, your maximum grade can only go up to a C… and that is with 100% on every test. WeBWorK has been reopened for full credit until May 1; and then WeBWorK will remain up for half-credit until May 22nd.

This is just a reminder that your third test will be on Monday, 5/6/2024. It will last the full class period. You will not receive a test paper unless you submit your cell phone and smartwatch (if you have one). You will be allowed a calculator (but you should probably go get one from the library)

As stated in class, the majority of the test will look like the final exam review and this final exam review also.

That being said, you might also want to look up the Final Exam Review videos also.

The following topics are guaranteed on Test 3.

  • Solving Quadratic Equations
  • Graphing a Parabola
  • Circles (including graph)
  • Complex Fractions
  • Dividing Complex Numbers
  • Nonlinear System of Equations
  • Graphing Lines
  • Slope, Equation of a Line

Test 2

Hello class,

I am announcing the second test to be Monday, April 8. It will begin at 12:00pm and end about 1:50pm. As a reminder, you will not be allowed to take your test unless you submit your phone at the beginning of the test. If anyone leaves while taking the test, then anyone arriving afterward will not be allowed to take the test.

You will not be granted access to a calculator for the test.

Here is a practice test. It is by no means comprehensive. It is just so you can see what is possible on test day.

Edit: Thank you Carlos for catching the typo in 1C
