Homework #1 – Jamaal Smith

The photographer I chose was Francesco Gola who does landscape photography. This photo really drew in me in when I first saw it because of how prominent the crystals are in the composition and how clear they were. One of the principles that immediately came to mind was the rule of thirds. The three invisible sections are pretty clear here, with the crystals being the bottom third, the horizon of the sea as the middle, and the sky as the top.
