This is my first ever internship so I’m a bit scared but at the same time I’m excited. My main task for this internship is to constantly make sketches and make graphic design for my supervisor Oscar Stadthagen to post on social media. It was the one I was introduced to by my friend Jerry and I and Oscar got along well. I specifically chose this internship site for many reasons. One of the reasons is that it ties into my future profession of being an illustrator / animator. Although I didn’t plan to do animation yet in the interview, I wanted to push my art to its limits to see how far I can go.
We technically didn’t have an interview of sorts but we did have a meeting. I sent him an email saying that Jerry sent me to him. We don’t have to talk over Google Chat and I told him how passionate I was when it comes to Art and Design. He gave me the okay and he gave me my own email address to use for Giving Forward in which was our ways of communication. This is where I’ll be sending in my sketches and my different types of graphic design to see what I need to improve or not. It was really weird and suspicious at first but it turns out that they are actually legit.
