It’s been some time since I have been at a museum, so stepping foot into the Whitney Museum one was very enjoyable. An exhibit that caught my eye on the 6th floor is Nikita Galeā€™s Tempo Rubato (Stolen Time) . In the description, it is written ā€œbodies are never entirely absent from what we refer to as technology.ā€ This exhibit was in a dark room, the light was dim and after a few minutes, a light would shine brightly on the piano. The piano is playing on its own and there is a speaker connected to the piano to listen to the quiet notes it was playing. I think it was meant to be uncanny, but I found this fascinating and somewhat soothing.
