Pop Art

Pop Art is an art movement from the 1950s. It presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular and mass culture, such as advertising, comic books and mundane mass-produced objects. I love the color selections of pop art in general and how powerful and playful the artwork is. I first heard of pop art when I learned about Andy Warhol, who is one of the most popular pop art artists.

    Brittany,

Yea, Warhol has gone down as one of the GOATS of an entire era. I’ve always thought his work was so intriguing. Especially the one he did with the Campbell’s soup can mainly because of its symbology. Thanks for posting.

    Best,
