Introduction:
Ever wonder how Hollywood movies have such complex moving shots? It’s all in the camera rigs. Camera rigs are one of the most essential pieces of equipment needed in the video industry. Problem is that most rigs are expensive and are specific for just one style of camera. My project is to build 3 of the most used practical rigs. A Jib arm, an OTS (over the should) rig, and a slider/ dolly. The idea is that all tree rigs will be able to handle lightweight consumer cameras and heavy weight pro-sumer cameras.
Objective:
To build three camera rigs out of PVC and conduit pipe. Build in an easy to use way. Make all three rigs strong enough for light and heavy weight cameras. Two rigs are being built from scratch, and one is being upgraded for better functionality and handle.
