As college students, we are learning a lot of valuable skills that can help us in the future at a job in the Food and Beverage field. One important aspect of the field is being able to effectively manage inventory. As students, we have to be in charge of all the things we are required to have to effectively learn. If we do not have certain things, then we cannot effectively learn. In the same manner, working in food and beverage, if there is not enough inventory of a certain food or beverage, then the service cannot run smoothly. The lack of an ingredient will not allow the chefs and cooks to make a dish which will then require changes to the menu, and if a customer wants that specific dish, then they will be disappointed with their alternatives.v
