Celebrate the Legacy of National Hispanic Heritage Month! National Hispanic Heritage Month (Spanish: Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana) is a period from 15 September to 15 October in the United States for recognizing the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.

1) Hello Student Leaders! You are invited to the second workshop in our series of Leadership Skills Development for the Fall semester this Thursday, September 17th. This workshop will be done entirely online via Zoom from 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm. There are seven workshops in this series and students who have completed all the workshops will be entered in a raffle to win an E-Gift card. The results of the Census determine how many members of Congress each state has, how much funding is given out by the Federal government for things like food and housing subsidies, education and library funding, clean water infrastructure, and more. 

To participate: fill out the census form online or by phone 1-844-330-2020. It’s quick, easy, and safe.

Then, help us spread the word! Post a video on Instagram or tweet and encourage others to fill out the census. Use the hashtag #CityTechCounts to be automatically entered into our raffle. All currently enrolled City Tech students are eligible. Tag us @citytechlibrary @nypirgcitytech @citytechsld

3) Student Government Association (SGA) will be hosting a Meet & Greet tomorrow, Thursday, September 17th at 12:45 pm. You will get to meet your student representatives as well as discuss any important issues. Please see the flyer attached and check your City Tech email for the link to join.
