Kimberley Gonzalez

Kimberley Gonzalez was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Brooklyn. Being in a Military family, she has traveled most of the East Coast. After nearly 7 years away from New York, she was sent back home and graduated from Fort Hamilton High School. She has attended 5 high schools, most of them being in South Florida. She first found her passion for baking in her 3rd high school while she was enrolled in the Culinary Program. Kimberley has specialized in Veterinary Assisting, Photography and Computers for the past 3 years. She enjoys learning new things and traveling. Most of the time she reserves her thoughts and prefers to quietly observe. Her strongest traits would have to be her sense of humor, straightforwardness and commitment. Her initiative to be successful and happy in life is strong. Majoring in Hospitality Management offers her flexibility while she devises a plan to reach her goals.

 

Rebecca Charles

Rebecca AnnMarie Charles is a trustworthy responsible young woman who is a New York native. She is 17 years old and was born and raised in Flushing, Queens. She attended John Bowne High School. She realized her passion for the field of hospitality management during her senior year of high school.  Rebecca was elected into the Senior Office. This was a group of six responsible and  diligent  students whose job it was to organize every single senior event ranging from senior assemblies to graduation. During her time as a senior officer, Rebecca made sure that all of the seniors stayed informed and was always there to answer any questions they had. Her job was to cater to the needs of the senior class. After mentioning to her senior adviser how much she loved working for the senior office he suggested that she look into the field of hospitality management. Rebecca is currently studying at New York City College of Technology in the hospitality management program. She is eager to continue learning and gain experience through NYCCT hospitality management program. Rebecca wants to graduate with her bachelors degree and hopes to one day make it in the industry. She hopes to run a hotel, working in a management position. Although she is young, Rebecca is determined to work hard and achieve her goals.

Antonio Tlapanco

Antonio Tlapanco, also known as Toni or Anthony by a few, is a Brooklyn New York native studying at NYCCT in the Hospitality Management field. He has graduated from The Green School: An Academy for Environmental  Careers and is currently eighteen. He is a very humorous, sweet, peaceful and intelligent young man who is grateful for the support he is receiving from his friends and family. His family background consists of Mexican and Native American as well. As a student he knows what his priorities are but can have a forgetful mind. He has received awards in outstanding performance in math, science, english and social studies. He has also been on the Honor Roll numerous times. Although he has only hadexperience with kids such as internships at daycares, he is sure that majoring in Hospitality will help bring his dream to a reality. His dream being to travel the world and bring smiles to people faces. He hopes to work on a cruise ship and see the whole world.

Tiziana Sacco- Electronic Profile

Tiziana Sacco, known by her friends and family as Tizi, is an aspiring make-up artist, event planner, entrepreneur, and hospitality manager.  She is assertive, attentive, charming, skillful, considerate, and an expedient learner.  Tizi was born in Manhattan, New York to Ecuadorian and Uruguayan parents.  She was raised in Montevideo, Uruguay until the age of seven, where she was brought back to New York to live with her mother and two sisters.  During her time in Uruguay, her aunt Adriana (affectionately called La Maina) left a profound impact on the young Tizi, instilling her with the drive to achieve her hopes and dreams.  Tizi has work experience in various positions in hotels, ballrooms, and restaurants since the age of fifteen.  Her former places of employment include, The Double Tree Metropolitan Hotel, Botteglia del Vino, and Michael Jordan Steak House (to name a few), however, her most memorable position was in the Edison Ballroom, once known as the Supper Club in Time Square.  Various events were hosted and celebrated during her time there which ranged from bar mitzvahs, fashion shows, after parties, corporate holiday parties, and celebrity birthdays.  It was there where she discovered the glamorous and animated atmosphere kindled her passion for event planning and a future career in hospitality management.  In addition to working as a banquet manager and event planner at a notable ballroom, catering hall, or lounge, Tizi would also one day like to become a special effects make-up artist.  She would like to create her own make up brand or event planning company in the New York tri-state area.  Tizi has a deep love of distinct cultures and languages.  In addition to English, she speaks Spanish fluently and has sparse knowledge of Italian and Sign Language.  She anticipates that the experience she gains at New York City Tech will enable her to realize her goals. ï»ż

Ginette Castillo

    Ginette Castillo, but people also call her Ginie or Gee. She was born and raised in the Bronx and is currently 18 years old. She graduated The Bronx Guild High School (Inside Stevenson High School) with a GPA of about 3.7. She was able to attend different types of internships while attending The Bronx Guild. Being in this school she was able to know what she wanted to major in college which is cooking and baking. She has had internship’s in places like Marc Ecko, Columbia University, a dentist, donors choose, a Mexican/American restaurant, a chef in a senior center and so forth. The job she loved the most was working in William Hudson Senior Center with a very good chef. He taught her a lot and brought her more into enjoying the culinary world. She has had a passion of learning to cook and bake but it just hasn’t come clear in her mind and she’s determined to learn in college. Her reason for attending NYC College of Technology is because it was the closet and only school in New York that had cooking/baking together and she’s hoping that this is the school that will help her react her goal of being a great chef and baker. Besides being passionate in culinary; she loves to play softball, travel, hang out, attend Yankee and Mets games when she can and bake cakes on her spare time. Her greatest accomplishment has to be graduating high school and getting everything done early however something she looks back on was not graduating her third year of high school because of stupid reasons, but at least she was able to do all the senior actives like she wanted. She got to learn though that something’s happen for a reason and people learn from their own mistake. She’s very shy but when she gets to know you she will come out of her comfort zone and you will get to see how cool and real she can be. Whenever you see her around say hi and get to know her, she won’t bit =)

Yu-On Chui

Born and raised in Flushing Queens, Yu-On Chui is an optimistic young man who looks forward to his education at NYCCT with a positive attitude.  He majors in Hospitality Management. Though he has only worked with children all his life at a daycare, he is convinced that he will want to spend the rest of his career helping people with a smile. He believes he is extremely lucky to be raised by a Asian oriented family who’s been able to adapt to the American lifestyle. He has also traveled all across Asia in countries such as Japan, China, Hong Kong and Macau. Yu-On greatly appreciates and enjoys all the cultures he’s been able to surround himself with. He is always eager and curious to enrich himself with something new and believes that majoring in the field of Hospitality Management would present many opportunities for him to do so. Unsure where his end destination might lead him he believes that he would want nothing more than to have a career in the Hospitality Industry.

Jia Min Li is an eighteen years old student who just graduated from the high school called the International High School at Prospect Heights. She can speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English. She is good at working with different kinds of people, especially with kids. Her current job is working in a tutoring school as a teacher assistant during weekend. She is interested in traveling and learning about different cultures. It is the reason why she goes to New York City College of Technology for Hospitality Management major. After graduate from college, she would love to work in the hotel as a manager and have her own coffee shop. She wants to open a coffee shop because she wants every customer of hers to start a new fresh beautiful day with her happiness coffee.

Richard Brunson passion is cooking; he was born and raised in NYC where the various cultures allowed him to develop an eclectic taste in food. He is an aspiring chef with an unbreakable lust for food and its culture; and he has always enjoyed cooking food. Richard is a great candidate for every opportunity that is offered to him, he is consistent in everything that he does in life and its evident his staggering results. He’s a very respectful and dependable young man, with a clear sense of his priorities. I must admit that he is a good cook and always want to learn more, not only about the process of cooking but about food as well. As he learns and experiences more, he is aware that he has so much more to experience as an aspiring chef. Pamela Kurz is a twenty eight year old women who is attending college the second time around. She was born and raised in Brooklyn New York and really doesn’t want to live any where else. Pamela graduated high school at Fort Hamilton High School. She earned an Associates degree in Liberal Arts at Borough of Manhattan Community College and is currently attending New York City College of Technology. Her major is Hospitality and Management because she wants to manage a spa, and in hopes of one day owning a spa. Her academic goals are to graduate with a Bachelors degree. She would also like to learn some cooking skills since she just recently learned how to cook. One of her greatest accomplishments in life so far is starting a family of her own. Pamela is engaged to an amazing, responsible, and hard working man. And they have an incredibly cute one year old son, named Nigel. She says she will accomplish her goal because she has to. Pamela plans on being a role model for her son. Showing him hard work pays off, by being the example for him. Pamela currently works in a dental office as a manager of the office and will use the experience she gains there when she has her own business to run. Some of her pass careers are sales girl in a bakery, dental assistant in a dental office, spa coordinator at Green Spa, dresser/shopper/maintainer in the wardrobe department on Broadway musicals, and of course the most demanding job of all, a mom. Her favorite thing in life to do is travel because she loves new and different cultural experiences. One of her favorite trips was a month vacation spent in Thailand. Pamela also really enjoys eating out, especially at her favorite restaurant Asia de Cuba. Along with those favorites is indulging at Jones Spa for a cold plunge and massage.
