    In Mike Bunn’s article, he writes “You are already an author.” I believe he means that we choose our wording based on how we want others to visualize our way of thinking. This can be in a form of homework, a research paper, or anything that involves writing. This is because we choose our words so that others can think like us or try to understand our way of thinking. Every word that we use in any way of writing can have an impact on the whole writing piece. It can make people think about the choices that you made while making writing. These forms of writing can help me in my college reading and writing career by improving my form of doing it. I want to be able to read something and understand why the author of something decide on writing the way that they did. I also want to be able to get some ideas from the reading so that I might want to include them in my own writing because that is something I would want someone else to do with my writing.

   One thing that I might want to do in my own writing to write so that others can read it like a writer and get some ideas of techniques from my writing. This way of writing will have the reader’s attention and want to continue reading to find out all the techniques that the writing includes. I want to do this so that whoever reads whatever I write thinks about having my form of writing as a possible example for their next piece of writing. I want them to think, why did she decide to write it this way? Or this is an interesting choice of writing that she made. This could also have my readers thinking, what if she wrote this instead of that.

I believe what Mark Bunn meant when he stated, ” You are already an author.” is we all are truly authors. when you write an essay , a book report ,  your daily notes or writing in your diary you are the author of all of those sources.  you don’t necessarily have to be a certified writer in order to be an author.  everyday you’re an author of your own life.  Some things that I have  already written are essays. I write plenty of essays, maybe because it has to do with my major. I also enjoy writing information about my day from time to time. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a diary, but I do enjoy writing about my feelings especially  if something is bothering me, it helps.  I believe the more words you use and jot down can help you through college especially with your English or English like classes. It can help you build up a stronger vocabulary and understanding. it’s also good when reading to look up those hard to pronounce words that you may not know the definition to, because 10/10 you’re more than likely to see that word again, and at least next time you’ll know the definition.  I know writing can be hard for some people at times. It’s hard to speak on all the things that happening in your head and in your life. I believe reading can help with that. It’s like as Mike Bunn Said, ” When we read like writers we understand and participate in the writing. We see the choices the writer has made, and we see how the writer has coped with the consequences of those choices … ” reading can provide you with a better understanding and idea on how to properly form sentences.

There’s plenty of things in Mark Bunn’s article that I would like to try to do in my own writing but the main one that stood out was asking the question, ” How.”  Questioning the authors reasoning as to why he wrote this novel. what particular kind of audience did he exactly have in mind when writing this piece of writing, and what kind of feeling does the author want to leave with their audience once the reading is complete.

Mike Bunn writes “You are already an author”. In my opinion he means that everyone has already wrote papers in their life for example I can say that I’m an author because I have written essays for school, research papers before and more. This makes us author make it has come from our ideas, we have use techniques to make a good paper and we have expectation for our papers. Also we can use this ideas on our day to day example of this can be like watching a movie reading a book and because because being an author means to be able to understand a story like what’s the setting does the character has development, etc. The experience I have now will help with the basic of my writing and reading, help identified key word are important knowledge while making my experience even better while learning new ways on reading and writing. Based on the article of Mike Bunn the “Read like a Writer” or (RLW) is very important to people to learn because it teaches how to identify step of the writing . Also it helps to understand the choices the author took and what other option the author had while writing, Depending on the way that should defined the result of the paper someone is writing for example it can be a research paper , newspaper , article  and more. The meaning of this article is that should be thinking while writing on the reader opinion for example how is this good connection, the step i’m taking to write this paper are making sense , are the techniques are being well use or how well my evidence support my ideas. Every single thing will be important because it will depend on the readers way of thinking which will be based on the article, story, etc.
