April 22 Homework

  • I will revise my entire final paper by reorganizing my sentences and changing them to be clear and concise in order to make them more understandable and avoid confusion.

I will change my introduction to grab the audience’s attention and make it more logical by putting one or two sentences that go with starting the paper as the first sentences in the introduction.

  • Remove any details that do not explain my discourse community word, faith such as anything personal that should not be shared or anything that has nothing to do with the word.

April 20th Homework

For my podcast, I started brainstorming ideas and planning out my podcasts. I also was searching for great podcast websites and apps, but I thought of an idea of recording my podcast using the voice memos app to record myself instead. I’ve yet to write what am I going to say and organize it in the podcasts and find an images that represents the podcats. I also yet to finalize my ideas because I’m still deciding how I’m going to do this.

April 15th Homework

For unit 3, I want to make a podcast documenting my covid-19 quarantine experience in the past year. My podcast will include stories, such as funny and sad, my experience with online school, my feelings and thoughts, my daily routines during covid and etc. My podcast will be an opportunity to tell people about my experience last year and what was being quarantined like. My podcast should be like a week or day in my life. My mentor text is a podcast about an army veteran with nursing experience who is an army veteran and she sits down wm a host. Her name is Roxann Langston and she is an army veteran and s registered nurse with 53 years of experience She firsts starts talking about her personal family story about her family members being in the army and how she got into the army and why decided to join the army. Then she talks about her nursing career from being a nursing assistant to a registered nurse and her experience dealing with covid patients as a first responder. The certain words and phrases that she uses to make points because to explain clearly how and why so that listeners can understanding the story. The army veteran nurse uses humourous, calm, and anxious attitude to express through speaking. The speaker organizes starting from her early life to her covid and current work experience and I believe it is organized this way so that people can know how she got to where she is. The speaker uses interesting details from her past to draw the attention of the audience. In the podcast, she doesn’t use research, just her past stories
