It should absolutely not be a surprise that guns are the most used weapon in homicides. The nature of guns and their legality has been controversial for a long time, but what many don’t know is it was not until after the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre when the Federal government began took action to regulate the purchase of guns in order to curb illicit gun activity. Despite the usage of federal gun control, we as Americans have seen gun violence and mass shootings rise to a degree where it becomes normal. But why is that?
