Each Fellow is asked to provide a 3-4 minute testimonial during one of the seminar in the spring of 2014 about how the grant activities have informed their teaching and learning practices. The facilitators will lead a 15 minute discussion of the  reading assigned for that workshop. February 14, 9:00-12:30,  Welcome Meeting HIEP and Gen Ed Objective: To introduce Associate Fellows to the Living Lab Grant, Gen Ed SLOs and HIEP for incorporation of these practices into their courses. Reading:  Kuh, HIEP, AAC&U, Gen Ed SLOs TYF Facilitator: February 28, 9:00-12:30, Open Pedagogy on the OpenLab Objective: Establish pedagogically viable uses of the OpenLab Reading: _________ TYF Facilitator: March 14, 9:00-12:30, Field Based Activity Objective: Engage in a field based activity to model place based learning opportunities available for student engagement on the Brooklyn Waterfront. Reading: Wabash Study, location specific article TYF Facilitator: March 28, 9:00-12:30, Building a Culture of Assessment Objective: To discuss and explore assessment practices with the intent of building a culture of assessment and incorporating assessment practices into course work. Reading Location TYF Facilitator: April 25, 9:00-12:30, Final Presentations Objective: To share course enhancements with Living Lab Fellows and the greater college community.
