Yellow Wallpaper

This story has a similar theme compared to the other gothic stories which is isolation and sanity. Isolation because the narrator in the story is stuck inside the house because of her husband. Sanity because she is seeing so many creeping women within the wallpaper and she ends up ripping the wallpaper and also viewing that the women within the wallpaper is ripping it too from the inside.  The women within the wallpaper, who seems trapped behind the pattern of the wallpaper, shaking the bars, who is trying to escape reflects towards the narrator herself and it symbolizes her relationship with John. She’s trying to escape from her own husband due to his controlling ways.
