As I was reading of Dr. Jekyll and Hyde. I came across a theme of Good vs Evil. Dr. Jekyll is portrayed as more of a good person while his doubled personality Mr. Hyde is portrayed a purely evil. When Utterson was reading Jekyll’s letter. Jekyll explained how he created the potion in order to set the evil doings free to do at night, Because he wanted to do those things. He wanted the double life. But then the evil started to become uncontrollable and he would transform into Hyde without the potion. After the Carew case, which was an important one that became the last straw. Dr. Jekyll became afraid about his doubled personality, afraid of being captured. Eventually the good of him became weaker and the evil became stronger.
