While reading chapter 21-23, It was sad to know that the monster kills Henry and Elizabeth. And how Victor was accused for his best friend death. If it wasn’t for his facial expression when he saw Henry death, he would of been in prison. By Victor destroying the monsters companion, and not showing him love and compassion, really took a toll on the monster. By destroy the two people Victor love the most. The monster warn Victor that he will be in his wedding. Victor’s falling into illness in reaction to the monster suggests that most of his health is cause by social rejection, broken heart, and grief. I believe guilt has prevent Victor from facing the truth on how he wasn’t there for the monster and his deeds “The human frame could no longer support the agonizing suffering that I endured, and I was carried out of the room in strong convulsions,” Victor is stating when he felt anguished at seeing Henry’s corpse, he felt psychological torment and physical illnesses. Victor also falls ill soon after creating the monster and underwent a downfall after the death of William. After the murder of Elizabeth, at the moment in which the monster finally succeeds in destroying Victor’s social life as in his family, best friend, and faith in science was taken away from Victor. What Victor can now originate in his hatred for the monster. Which is not the right thing to do because Victor and the Monster will keep going back and forth. Since Elizabeth death. I believe that they should make immense.
