Home Health Aides and the individuals apart of health care programs are the ones who are attempting to make the problem more visible. Stories shared on either the news or social media bring light to the discrimination and hardships faced by female workers in particular.
Workers of all positions are bringing this situation into the light. Collectively, these individuals would view the problem as broad companies and higher-ups are blatantly ignoring the daily struggles that are aligned with this kind of work. Jobs like these can span from over twelve to twenty-four hours a week without proper rest and nutrition. Many strategies would consist of submitting stories to news or journalist organizations, recording and posting on social media as well as protesting for better treatment.
Addressing the urgency of the issue would need to be seen by the companies that these workers are employed under, families of the individuals that are cared for, and people who want to make a general difference toward how all people in the working class are treated. Everyone, as a whole, needs to know more about these problems.
This kind of problem is one involving human rights or the lack of them. These are employees that work several days and hours a week with little care or consideration toward them for all the work they do.
More workplace stories captured on social media or the day in the life of these workers need to be taken into consideration or be given more attention.
