Monday, 11/14 (asynchronous, work due on our class site by 11:59 pm)
- Unit 2 assignments (Reflective Annotated Bibliography) are due.
- Create a post in which you write a short reflection (approx. 150-200 words) on the research process and what you learned. In your reflection, consider the following questions: What did you find difficult about doing this type of research? In doing this type of research, what did you learn that you can take to future classes?
- Before publishing your post, make sure you do the following:
- Title it “Unit 2: Annotated Bibliography Submission”
- Pick the category “Unit 2 Work”
- If you want, pick the private setting so that only I see the final version of your narrative.
- Then publish the post

Unit 2: Annotated Bibliography Submission”
I am curious about learning more about what types of technologies visually impaired students use in college. I decided to do some research about what types of techno lies visually impaired students use because I want to help others like myself.
There were some things I found difficult when I was researching the type of technologies, we as visually impaired students, use for college (for example) looking up an article that has a lot of information and answers that I am looking for. It was also difficult because there were some technologies, I wanted to learn more about because there are some I used before and there were some I had never heard of before.
There are a lot of different types of technologies that we as visually impaired students use to help us when we are having a difficult time seeing things that are small and hard for us to see or read. There are different types of machines that we use to help us see things that are small (for example we use a type of machine called a CCTV machine). A CCTV machine is a great machine that is useful for us visually impaired students because it’s a type of machine that has a camara and when you put paper or a book that you want to read you can make the words larger on the machine by increasing the size on the machine. There are some CCTV machines where you can focus it on the board and take a picture by clicking on one of the buttons on the machine and it would take a picture of what you would want to read or even write down. I also learned that it is important to always advocate for yourself and let others know what you always need so that it can be easier for people who are visually impaired. I think it is also important to always ask for help when you need someone to help you.
I am glad I have learned a lot of things from the things I have researched online. There are a lot of things I would like to take advice on and releasee that it would help me in future (for example always advocate for yourself and ask for help when you know you would need help. The most thing I have l=to say that’s also important is to always show others that you can do what you need to do by putting your mind to it.
