1) Finish up Unit 1 by making sure you have a strong introductory paragraph.  Don’t introduce with your name (Hi, my name is Berit and I live in NYC.). NO!  Instead, introduce with a relevant joke, quotation or insight.  (As far back as I can remember, classrooms filled me with a strong sense of injustice.).

2) Select a topic for Unit 2 and write a 5 minute paragraph explaining to me why I should care about your topic and why you should get to use it for your research project.  Post your paragraph to OpenLab.

3) Remember there is no class next Tuesday.  Go to your Monday classes instead.   (Monday, there are no classes held, Tuesday, go to Monday classes!
