Have I met anyone I would consider a role model? I would have to say no to that, but I have become part of a family here. A living breathing system of people, students like me just trying to graduate. We succeed together, we fail together, and we also keep moving forward together. I spend most of my time at City Tech to be honest so I’m in the office most of the day getting work, or projects done here and working together here with my people. In a sense we don’t look at each other as role models or mentors but as each of us has something to bring to the table so make it happen. You can’t finish the puzzle without having the pieces because you will never see the big picture. They have a slate here and it pretty much captures how things work here. I’m sure you will be familiar with this saying, “Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind”.
