The internship I have is with City Tech. I work for the Student Government Association, which is a group of students that help bridge the gap between the student body and administration. The problems students come to us with we try our best to bring it to administration and possibly change it. The SGA also throws events during the school year to get students active and involved on campus. When ever there is an opportunity available to the students, we help other groups and organizations in City Tech get that information to the students. Now thats where I come in. My position there is the Promotional Director. That position includes me being in charge of SGA’s social media platforms, making flyers for the events, Photograph/record events, printing the flyers and promotional items, and directing the students to the right people.

The Student Government association is a group of 14 students that all have their own job to do. So yes, it isn’t a huge group but we have a big impact on the students college experience as well as the City Tech community. From what I was told the SGA was established sometime in the late 1940s and was responsible for things like tuition freezes down to cheaper pizza prices in the Namm Cafeteria.
