Learning is a source of hope for a better future. It requires hard work and sacrifice which can be even more difficult in challenging times. Your time in college is also your opportunity to connect with others, lift your spirit, enrich your life, and develop the skills and knowledge to make a difference in your community.

by priortizing my work*
Those are great habits Josh, I myself had those positive habits and they were beneficial.
I choose question number 2: Reflection on the management of a difficult situation.
Throughout my life, I have encountered many challenges, but a particular situation stands out as a meaningful learning experience. It was during my last year of high school , when I had to face my first important exam. The situation arose when I was in my senior year and had to take the baccalaureate, a crucial exam for my academic future. The pressure was immense, because this exam would determine my chance of entering the university of my choice. To navigate this difficult period, I used several strategies to find a solution. First of all, I established a detailed schedule to organize my revision time. This allowed me to devote specific hours to each subject and to make sure that I covered the entire program. Then I sought support from my teachers. I participated in group review sessions, and doing a lot of exercises alone, which helped me understand difficult concepts and stay motivated. In addition, I used stress management techniques such as meditation and regular breaks to avoid exhaustion.
The strategies I used proved to be effective. Thanks to a good organization and the support of my teachers, I was able to manage my revisions effectively. I managed to obtain my baccalaureate with satisfactory results. This experience taught me the importance of planning, collaboration and stress management.
That’s incredible and I’m glad you ended up maintaining your baccalaureate. It is fantastic that you have mastered those skills such as stress management and planning because in college you will encounter with pretty big assignments and groups projects.
I will create positive academic habits for myself by investing more time into studying and attending some tutoring that city tech offers.
I suggest that you do take full advantage of the tutorings campus offers because they have help me in difficult times.
If i was faced with a difficult situation what i would is see what the problem is first to see if i can do anything to help and if i can i would help until the situation has been settled with!!
Great technique tavi!
How will I create positive academic habits for myself? I will study and review my notes. Also keep track of my assignments and due dates.
That is a really good practice because submitting assiments on time is highly important for your gpa.
Yes I completely agree because that’s what I do review my notes and keep track of important due dates.
I’ve already built excellent academic habits for myself by limiting my time on social media and phone use, going on walks, meditating, and trying to participate in interactive activities outside of my comfort zone to meet other college students. I also go through my classes every Friday to see which assignments I need to do, so I handle them early, and readings I need to complete over the weekend in order to prepare for the next class. I also attempt to squeeze in one to two hours of pass topics to prepare for future tests.
That’s excellent Lugo. With those habits you’ll definitely succeed in college!
I feel that all my years through the many stages school and the culmination of all that knowledge is what prepared me for college
True. Especially if you already developed great habits for yourself.
Many experiences in my life have prepared me for college. Ballet is one of them. growing up dancing was hard. It required discipline, listening skills, perseverance, and strength of all sorts. Acquiring all these skill sets at a young age created the building blocks and strategies needed for me to succeed in college. Knowing when these are not enough was also a tough lesson to accept. This knowledge shaped my current self. Having the skills stated will always be important, but having the drive and motivation to use them is paramount. Through experience, I’ve come to understand that excitement for a future goal can be one of the more important parts of your puzzle. Without it, the discipline can feel empty, and the perseverance can feel futile. to be clear, I don’t regret my choices, and loved my experience. I currently feel much more prepared for college life because of them.
Hey Noach, my perseverance is what keeps me going, too, when things get tough in the middle of the semester and I have no choice but to push through.
Positive academic habits never really thought of it but If I would I have to focus on the hard work and rest easy when I work on the easy stuff later that can be a habit right
Yes it’s a habit. A good one actually. With good sleep you can focus on your work better.
I will try to create positive academic habits for myself by setting my priorities and finding ways to manage my time wisely, by doing this I will be more likely to succeed in all my classes.
That’s a great plan Karen!
