The syllabus is a tool students can use to understand what is expected in this class. For City Tech 101 we’ll be learning more about our school such as the resources given to us, campus tour, knowing more about majors, how to operate cunyfirst, blackboard, etc. The workshop basically makes the transition from high school to college less stressful.

The syllabus of 101 is about how students can have a easy and smooth transition from high school to college life. the syllabus also talks about how city tech can help students get the help/resources that they need.
Syllabus MAT 1190, tells me to have access to two text books and a scientific calculator that would be used throughout the course. I wouldn’t be able to have more then 2-3 lates and won’t be able to have 2 absent. It gives me a layout of what I would be doing within the books and the type of work I would be expect to complete.

The syllabus of City Tech 101 tells me that I won’t have the same opportunities that I had in high school regarding the fact that deadlines need to be met and time won’t be given extra time won’t be given without a valid reason, the resources are available no one will hand you the help without your cooperation. The syllabus informes the student about everything available to them.
