We visited many places like the food pantry, writing center, and also the rad-tech department. The most challenging part about the two-day discovery project was thinking about which future plans I wanted to focus on the most and which would be most important. The most helpful part was that it prepared me and think more deeply about what I want to accomplish in the future and how I can do it. One useful thing I learned about the resources at city tech was that there is help for lots of things everywhere. There’s tutors if I need help with my classes, there’s a student success center where I can get help for managing classes or asking for help on anything.

There are tutors to assist with classes, and the student success center provides help with managing classes or seeking guidance on any challenges I may face.

We went to the writing center, registrar, financial aid office, food pantry, and academic building. What was most challenging about doing the two-day discovery project was accessing an advisor for my major. I was given an advisor to contact that was for a different major, so I had to find out my department and figure out the advising situation. It was stressful because I also had to fix financial aid issues before accessing my schedule, if I knew who my advisor was and if there was an easier way to meet up with them, my issues would’ve probably fixed and I would’ve not had problems. Getting to talk to someone personally from the rad tech program helped me because they knew where to guide me. They told me what courses I need to take and who to talk to. One useful thing I learned about the resources at City Tech is everyone in CUNY can access things like the food pantry, pools, and libraries at any CUNY college which was pretty interesting. Resources are like tutoring, writing center and the food pantry are good places to have in mind.
