What is something that you learned that you think is especially helpful or interesting? Learning how to schedule and know where I can go when I need help with my academics. What is one practice you learned about that you will use when going through your own advisement and registration process? Being able to do everything myself

One thing that I think is especially helpful that I learned is the importances of having a academic advisor to meet up with because they provide helpful uses to help us keep on track with our majors and courses. One practice I learned was how to find what classes are needed in order to take them or have them In the back of the mind when applying for registration process.

One thing I learned that I found helpful and interesting is degreeworks. It shows us what classes we need to take and our process in certain classes, so it helps me visualize what I need to graduate with the needed credits. One practice I learned that I’ll continue to use is genuinely seeking out for assistance when I need help with something.

What is something that you learned that you think is especially helpful…?

Something that I was able to learn during the process is different ways to access and see the types of classes I need or want to take by going to my major website and seeing what classes I need to take for my degree. Another useful thing is Degree works is very helpful by showing things that are missing from my “profile” and it shows a break down of every little thing.

Something I found helpful was getting information about an advisor and how to use the City Tech website/degree works to determine what classes I should take for the next semester. I find this very useful because I am able to be prepared and plan out all of my semesters so that I take a good number of classes and not be overwhelmed but also not left behind.

Something I think is going to be especially helpful during this process is getting an academic advisor and looking at the courses in my degreeworks .One thing I learned and will continue to use when going through your own advisement and registration process is to plan my future courses way ahead of actually registering.

Seeking an advisement has really helped me out to see what I should take for my next semester. This has really helped me because it showed me how I should really be on top of everything I need to do so it won’t take longer than it needs to take. One process I will use when going through your own advisement and registration process is using degree works.

What I learned that was helpful was how to access forms to seek out an advisor. I thought that we would have an advisor already but we have to book an appointment to speak to someone. So what you had to do was you have to fill out an advisement form and send in your unofficial transcript. One practice I learned that I will be using is going through Degree Works to figure out what classes I need to move forward and to definitely speak with an advisor to figure out and plan my schedule.

In Session Eight, I learned a lot about how important it is to plan out my course schedule carefully and how to navigate the advisement and registration process effectively. One practice that I’m definitely going to use in my own advisement and registration process is making a list of my goals and priorities before meeting with an advisor. I learned that it’s a good idea to come prepared with specific questions or concerns about my academic path, as well as a rough idea of what courses I might want to take.

What I think is most important is having someone to help you with registration.I believe I found it easier making a schedule with the help of my professor. I also got a chance to see classes I would be needing to take for my major.Going through my registration process I would have to speak to registration office to talk about my holds,

Mastering the art of time management and knowing where to turn for academic support are key skills I’m developing. It’s about becoming more self-sufficient and knowing when to seek help, but also having the confidence to tackle challenges independently. Building this balance helps me navigate both my studies and personal growth effectively.

  14. Kreny

I learned how to get access to an adviser and one thing that I thought was important was picking out of course ahead of time, i will definitely be doing that because i wouldn’t want to do it too late and when you pick your courses llate some of the classes might be full.

One resource I came across that I found both intriguing and practical is Degreeworks. Because it illustrates the classes we must take and how we move through each one, it makes it easier for me to see what I need to do to graduate with the necessary credits. I’ve learned and will continue to use the technique of sincerely asking for help when I need it.

i Learned how to make appointments with your major advisor and I think that was interesting because no one else really knows what you need best but your advisor. I’ll definitely keep in my college career how to be organized and if I ever need help where to go and ask. Degreeworks will be your best friend when planning out courses or checking on yourself to keep on track for graduation

  17. Anaya

I learned how important it is to check the course requirements for my major ahead of time. This helps me plan my schedule and make sure I’m taking the right classes to stay on track. One practice I’ll use is meeting with an advisor for my major which is the Radiology department before registering. They can help me understand which courses I need and answer any questions about my major. This will make the registration process less stressful and more organized and I can know what classes to pick and make sure I don’t effect my financial aid.

  18. Pursue my goal—Josiah

I learn to seek for advisement online and in person. The advisement is very helpful to me. I also learn that when there is a new semester’s schedule that are almost coming, we have to be prepare and plan ahead of what we wanted to apply. And when the schedule for next semester is open, we have to be as fast as we can to sign and enroll to the course.
