The Company I am doing an Intersnhip is called Congested Cat Productions. Congested Cat Productions was first founded in May of 2011 by it’s two owners Christopher Carrol and Christina Raia, who are childhood friends. Congested Cat is also a film company mainly based in Long Island, that creates video content such as short films and even a monthy Interview Series. Congested Cat Productions (CC Productions for short) also serves to provide a new perspective in the world of filmmaking. They host a monthly  short film festival where up and coming Indie Film Makers submit their short films for a chance to build even more of an audience and network with other Indie Film Makers. They are a private company that is mainly for non profit. I serve mainly as the company’s video editor, but i do help them coordinate their monthly film festival and design logos/posters/etc for them. It is important to mention that due to distance between where they operate and where I live most of our conversations about my assignments are dealt through messaging. While i couldnt much articles on Congested Cat Productions (mainly because they are still kind of new) I’ve Managed to find a few interviews with one of the owners , Christina Raia. Reading those two articles made me think that she and her team are dedicated to not only thinking outside the box but also help support other Indie Film makers within the industry.
