Thesis Statement:
In today society many women even some man get their nails done at salons since it does take patience to do our own; but the question is how did nails come to be, where was it developed and if it is safe to consistently get our nails done based on the liquids being used to create the beauty design of nails. I want to explain the history and outcomes if certain products damage our natural nail or keep it protected underneath while the nail on top being shown by the artificial nail.

Thesis: With the aid of DNA Bar coding species can be identified through their DNA sequence. However, this takes not only time, but it might not work for all products. Especially for the instance of pharmaceuticals or drugs. With Project 2 and 3 it will reveal an app that has an attachment that allows the consumer to check for the product on the spot – no wait time, no kits to send off. Thesis (as of 5/13) – While prescribed medicines are heavily regulated by organizations such as the FDA, the over the counter and vitamin supplements that can be purchased without a prescription tend to have less restrictions. This means at these products have more fillers and at its worst, potentially deadly ingredients. Through a series of infographics it will reveal what is common in vitamin supplements and over the counter medicines, what are its more deadly ingredients and how science can combat this.

Thesis as of 5/19: While prescribed medicines are heavily regulated by organizations such as the FDA, supplements have different restrictions due to Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994. This act effectively labels supplements as a “food” and not a drug. This means at these products are not as heavily tested, as prescription drugs.
