Thesis: Most people think that the double tail skateboard came first, but it actually came from surfing the first board sport. The wood that skateboards are now made of were not the first board ever created as it took time to really find the right material for the nitty gritty of what skateboard culture is now.

This sounds like a really cool topic! I’m too clumsy for a skateboard but I think seeing how far the skateboard has come would be really fascinating.
I think that your sketches are also really good! I love the defined sections you have for the boards, the textures and the years. Would you have copy for every textile/board or would you just have a general line of copy to describe what boards/textiles are? Based on your sketches it seems like you would have copy for every section – so hopefully it doesn’t get cluttered.
I’m excited to see where this is headed!
