The first photo I took in black was of the cat’s fur. To get the photo to be more black, I angled the camera to a white background and held the camera meter feature. I did the same thing in reverse to get a brighter picture of my white wall.
This photo Hajar took is the most representative of the high view angle. The colors of her grey leggings with the black shoes also gives the picture a bit of contrast.
I think that the first photo exhibits the significance of the space by showing contrast – the small, lightly tinted rose quartz object in opposition of it’s dark, black background. I took the photo of the object from and oblique angle for the second photo. The object in the photo is closer up, but still allows you to see elements of the background.
