Today, we will discuss and explore Layer Basics 

Use layers to create collages that can have their stacking order moved.

Critique

Each week we will review homework assignments from the previous class. Students will participate in reviewing material and offering suggestions for improvement for their cohort. This week students display their coin, Beach Cleanup day, and tie designs.

Lab

Lab assignments are done during class time.

Create your collage from files (3) provided in a layered Photoshop file. Save this file as a .psd so layers will be visible

  • Create a Hue Saturation adjustment layer and clip it to the layer beneath it. 
  • Resize and duplicate images as you like

Discussion:

Each week you will need to respond to two questions posted. This is a requirement for participation part of your grade.

Homework Due Next Class: 

All work should be submitted by 5:00 pm the day before class.

Each file should be saved according to the following naming convention. i.e., 10_LastName.psd (Photoshop).

  • Create your own veggie person using the technique described in class. Use Adjustment layers and clip it to affect the layer beneath it. Save it as a layered native .psd file.
