1)We can use gradients: linear gradient, radial gradient, and free gradient. The period key that assigns a gradient can be used to switch panels between all three controls in the gradient. We can use any selection to create a gradient between a range of colors, and then the Gradient panel can change the size and direction of the gradient.

2)If we want to change the color of the gradient stop we can drag the selector back and forth and slide the gradient bar in the desired position. Or drag the color block out onto the bar. Then we can use the dropper tool with gradient to stop the selection and click the color. The gradient can be stopped by clicking one and deleting it and then dragging it out of the gradient bar.

01- The three controls you have over a gradient are linear gradient, radial gradient and freeform gradient. You also have control over angle and radiant of the gradients depending which selection you have selected

02 –One way you can change the color of a gradient stop is by dragging on the selector sliding back and forth setting on your desired position on the gradient bar. The other way is dragging out of the color swatches onto the bar. You can also use the eyedropper tool while having gradient stop selected and click over the color. Gradient stops can be removed by clicking on one and then dragging it away out of gradient bar.

There are three ways to manipulate a gradient: linear gradient, radial gradient, and freeform gradient. When assigning a gradient to an item, the period key can be used to switch between all three controls in the gradient panel. You may build gradients between a range of colors using any choice, and the gradient panel also lets you change the gradient’s size and direction. A straight line is followed by linear, a circle is followed by radial, and a gradient pattern of your choice is allowed by freeform.

While clicking, you will drag the color toward the gradient stop with the panel open and the color swatches opened. The second method involves choosing the color on the artboard using the eye dropper in the gradients panel. The third option of changing the color is to double-click on the gradient stop you wish to alter and then choose the new color from the color panel.

I agree with you that you say we can use gradients linear gradients, radial gradients, and free gradients. The period key that assigns a gradient can be used to switch panels between all three controls in the gradient.

    Question 01 –

Three controls one has over the Gradient are Linear, Radial, or Freeform. Linear is a gradient from one side to another. Radial is a gradient in a circular form and lastly freeform is a customized gradient where you put draw in the points you would like the gradient to blend from.

    Question 02 –

To change the color of a gradient you must first open the Gradient Window but hitting “.”. Now that thats open you will see the gradient slider which has default two stoppers black and white. Select one of the stoppers and use the eyedropper tool to select a color on the art-board you want. On the other hand you can use the fill color on the top right of the gradient box to pick from swatches. A third way to change the gradient is to open the color window and find a swatch you like and drag it into the gradient slider which will create a stopper of the color.

    Question 01 –

Under the gradient window, under type, there are three options: linear, radial, and freeform. These three types of gradients gives the user three very different dimensions to the shape they are adding it to. The linear gradient provides a right to left gradient; the direction can be changed. The radial gradient gives a circular glow to the object. Lastly, the freeform gradient is used for other types of shapes not confined to linear or radial, using anchor points.

    Question 02 –

To change colors in a gradient stop you can drag the desired color from the color swatches panel onto the gradient bar. Another way to do so is to use the eyedropper tool (I) to get the desired color. Lastly, to change a gradient’s color you can drag the desired gradient into the swatch library, click the specific object, then click the swatch. To delete a stop, simply click and drag the circle filled with color off of the gradient bar.

    1. The three types of gradients are linear, radial, and freeform. Linear is a gradient that goes from one side of the shape to the other at any kind of angle. A radial gradient is when the gradient goes from the center of the shape to the outside or vice versa, but keeps that circular shape from the center to the outside. And with the freeform gradient, joins with anchor points where the colors are selected according to what is necessary. All these types of gradients can be used by opening the pop-up window using (.) as a shortcut.
    2. To change the color in a gradient stop, we first have to have the gradient panel open using the shortcut(.). Once the panel is open, we will also open the color swatches, and while we click we will drag the color toward the gradient stop. The second way to do it is with the eye dropper inside the gradients panel, and we select the desired color on the artboard. The third way to change the color is to double-click on the stop gradient you want to change and use the color panel to select the new color.

The three controls we have over a gradient are linear gradient, radial gradient and freeform gradient. Toggling the period key will give us access to this control panel. The controls allow you to create gradients on any shape or stroke you create. They can be manipulated to your liking, the direction, size and colors. The linear gradient follows a straight line, the radial gradient follows a circular form and the freeform gradient allows you to choose a gradient design.

To change the color of a stop, is by dragging and placing the color into the gradient panel. In which gets dropped into a stop, once having placed a color, automatically you receive black and white into your stop list alongside the new color inserted. You can pick any color from the color tool and also the swatches tool. Once having a desired gradient color you can also drag this color into your swatches library for use in other objects. Gradient stops can be deleted by clicking and dragging it down, or by selecting it into the trash icon.

Question 1: There are three types of gradients in Illustrator: linear, radial, and freeform. To pull up the gradient tool, use the period (.) shortcut on the keyboard. A window pops up with the different gradient options. A liner gradient goes from one end of the shape to the other in a straight line in multiple angles. A radial gradient extends from the center of the shape outward and the radius of the circle can be adjusted. A freeform gradient uses anchor points as the gradient points and different colors can be used per point. The opacity and location can be changed for all three types of gradients.

Question 2: To change the color of a gradient stop, open the gradient tool with the shortcut period (.) on the keyboard. Open the color swatches panel and click and drag the color to the gradient stop. The second way to change the color is to double click the stop which you want to change color and use the color panel to adjust the hue. The third way to change the color is to select the gradient stop you are trying to change and to select the eyedropper tool in the gradient options. Then you can select a color from another part of the file and change it to that. You can also use the reverse gradient button in the gradient window to quickly inverse the colors.

      Hi Adrika,

The way you expressed the steps is very clear and understandable, imma gonna try to play more with the free-from gradient.

The three controls one has over a gradient are linear gradient, radial gradient and finally a freeform gradient. All three controls can be found in the gradient panel which can be toggled with the ‘period’ key when assigning a gradient to an object. All options allow you to create gradients between a variety of colors and their direction and size can also be adjusted in the gradient panel. Linear follows a straight line, radial follows a circular form and freeform allows for your choice of gradient design.

One can change the color of a gradient stop by clicking on a stop, which will show you a plus sign and clicking a color of your choice. You can also click and drag a color from your swatches panel to the gradient stop. You can also use the eyedropper tool while having a gradient stop selected and click over your preferred color. Gradient stops can be removed by clicking on one and then selecting the trash icon or clicking on a stop and dragging it away from the gradient bar.

Well said, all three correct in how you can choose a gradient color. and the three gradient controls

  10. David Flores

The 3 different controls you have over a gradient can be found in the toolbar by selecting the gradient tool. Once the gradient tool is open you’ll see 3 tiny boxes demonstrating the 3 options to choose from. Those options are a linear gradient, radial gradient, and a freeform gradient. The linear gradient allows you to transition between two or more colors along a straight line. The radial gradient allows you to transition between two or more colors that radiate from an origin(by their center). The shape can simply be a circle or an ellipse. The freeform gradient is straightforward; it allows you to transition between colors in your own desired way. You can also change the angle of the gradient by selecting (angle) in the gradient tool, reverse the gradient by clicking on reverse gradient . To change the color of a gradient stop you can move the cursor below the gradient bar, which changes to a white arrow with a plus sign next to it you’ll create a new intermediate color stop at the location. Another way is having the swatches panel open and dragging the preferred color to the gradient bar.
