So far in this unit, after reading three examples from the genre of the “education narrative”, I have perceived that there are “ingredients” in an education narrative. In every piece of writing, there are specific techniques that you should incorporate in your writing to make it more appealing for readers.  The various techniques that should be included are the characters or people in the passage, plot development, settings, the perspective of the passage, plot devices, etc. These techniques provides structure and organization to your piece of work, it’ll make your piece much more intriguing. For me, the place to get started with my own education narrative would be my own mind. The mind is the place where all your memories and information are stored, without it we would be unable to write anything at all. I would try to recall a memory from my life to be used in my education narrative and then expand on it. Furthermore, I have no questions or concerns about writing my own education narrative, I know that we must figure out an experience from our lives to write about and to include various writing techniques to peak our reader’s interests. An experience from my life that I have thought about writing about and I’m sure many others can relate, would be the time period beginning from March 2020 to now in the present. The pandemic really changed a lot of people’s lives and no one saw this coming, finishing my senior year online was not what I wanted. I was looking forward on ending my last year on a great note with all my friends, but life is unpredictable and I had to grow up sooner.
