We strongly encourage you to apply for the New York State Department of Transportation’s Transportation Construction Inspectors (TCI) program. TCIs assist in monitoring and inspecting construction projects during the construction season that begins in April. City Tech is one of the main campuses from which NYSDOT hires, and many graduates find full-time jobs with contractors that work with NYSDOT!

To apply, please carefully do the following before February 8th:
- Complete the two (2) attached forms: a) TCI Application for Employment and b) TCI Questionnaire.
- Attach your resume and unofficial Transcript
- Email all the documents to Shengji Wu at shengji.wu@dot.ny.gov and copy to Florina.Pupla@dot.ny.gov
- Make sure the email Subject reads: TCI Application + “Your Name”
- An example email could be:
Hello Shengji,
My name is ____________________, and I am applying for the spring 2024 TCI program. My application materials are attached. Could you please confirm receipt of my application? I look forward to hearing from you.
