HW #3

During the Depression era Walker Evans took pictures of people on the New York City subways. I think that these photographs that he took was pretty interesting because it didn’t seem like it was staged or anything. The photographs of the people showed that they were not having their day at all. All the people in the photos have just seems to have a gloomy feel to it based on their expressions. People nowadays in subway are all doing there own stuff. There are people talking with each other, looking down on their phone, sleeping, reading, and many other things. Compared to the depression era, people nowadays have a livelier feel to them compared to the gloomy feel given by the pictures of the people from the great depression era.
