Personally, I think that the use of social media is a form of art. Using social media is a way for people to express themselves. In this generation, people are using social media, such as Instagram and Snapchat, to help them capture the moments and create memories that are able to look back on. Not everything can be captured or expressed through paintings or drawings. However, taking a picture can capture that one moment and that one moment can be looked upon many times. When looking at these pictures we get to see through different views and being able to experience the person’s moment.
Many people may think that selfies is not art. However, I personally think that selfies is a part of art. I think people themselves is a form of art because taking a selfie is a way of expressing yourself. We can see the person’s emotions being portrayed during that time. I, myself use Instagram and Snapchat to post pictures from selfies to just random things sometimes. I like to take pictures of anything just to be able to capture the moment and being able to look back at it. It is a way for me to express myself and to others.
