After reading the two articles, what I found very interesting was how coffee and bread was a very common thing soldiers would eat. Especially coffee, the fact that soldiers love their coffee and have to have it in order to fight in the war was fascinating. They would do anything to make coffee. Soldiers used water from canteens and puddles, bays and Mississippi mud. I guess now I know why people till this day need coffee, because it’s already programmed into us since history. A food I cannot live without is pasta. I love pasta and any noodle dish in general.

Pasta is a common food that everyone eats. Many people live without it during the past.
I know. I found it so surprising that they loved coffee that much. My family members (mom, grandmother, aunt, and cousin) who live with me drink coffee everyday. But, it’s not my favorite thing, I prefer hot chocolate. Coffee is often bitter even in what is supposed to be a sweet variation (french vanilla, etc.) so I don’t really like it
