This year we didn’t get to celebrate Thanksgiving like we usually do, but my friend and I went out to a restaurant. Food photography became part of our everyday life because every time someone sits down to eat they tend to take a picture of their food. They take it to put it up on their Snapchat stories, Facebook, or Instagram, but mainly on Instagram. The point is so they can show their friends what they are having for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. Food photography became popular on Instagram because the picture can go viral without you even knowing. Also, it is a way to give promotion to the restaurant where you are eating at and perhaps other people would want to go and try what you are eating. As Sophie stated, the restaurant industry has picked up on the trend and some places are reported to pay up to $350 per photo if a user has a significant following. Meaning that people can get paid by just taking pictures of photos and consisting of over 5,000 followers. In today’s industry, color can cause thinking, change actions, and cause reactions. It can irritate or pacify your eyes, raise your blood pressure or suppress your appetite.
