The company I am doing an internship for is called C&T Productions and Photography. Simply put, it’s a small production company located in Far Rockaway, Queens. They specialize in photography and videography for private events and occasions. The owner, Curtis Cuffie, is an extremely helpful individual and during my interview, he explained that he doesn’t expect me to know every detail about editing footage or photography. Long story short, he made it very clear to me that his aid will always be available if I need any help during my internship.
Before finding the internship, I was quite nervous. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the month leading up to the Spring semester has been traumatic for me. Unfortunately, this lead me to missing my first day of Internship class. Nevertheless, I’m extremely grateful for the internships that quickly responded to my attempts. C&T Productions not only responded quickly and promptly, but they also seemed to be exactly what I want my future company to be. When I finally graduate, I’d love to start my own production company just like C&T Productions.
In addition, the internship’s address is very convenient for me. This is greatly appreciated since juggling freelance work and several Senior-level classes create very little time for me to sleep and travel from point A to point B. That being said, my working days for internship are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11AM-6PM. Essentially, my internship should take 8.5 weeks in order to complete the required 120 hours. These days and hours fit perfectly with my school schedule!
