I really enjoyed the video about Bonnie Siegler & her Graphic Design Agencies. It was refreshing to see how passionate she was about her career and how she enjoys every aspect of it. She has gotten the opportunity to work with some amazing organizations. I actually do not like the Brooklyn Library Logo design i find it annoying but I can respect the thought process behind it. I would have gone with the compass or trees. There were a lot of ideas that stuck out to me one being when she said it’s impossible to define good design. This part stuck out to me because I was just asked this question in a job interview and this was a very good answer. Good design should break the rules and going against the norm is usually the best designs. The first thing you notice should not be the design.

Unfortunately the designer doesn’t make the final decision about the design, we just present our best work and make sure it meets the client’s goals, because they make the final decision. I liked the compass idea also, but I like the one they chose because I remember when it became a thing that the postal service accepted the use of Bklyn as an abbreviation of Brooklyn. I lived in Brooklyn back then.
