One important piece of advice that she mentioned was the importance of contracts. If I have learned anything from my life it is that written documents exist to protect both parties, but can especially save you from a terrible situation. I have encountered situations whether through clients, work, family, or friends where I wish I had or was glad that we wrote up a contract.

Contracts are more important than we can imagine sometimes. I agree with what she said about not wanting to work with anyone who didn’t want to sign a contract. It’s big red flag.
