I chose this image because the consistent theme of the lettering and the illustrations drew my attention. I feel like it brings you back to the city romantic grandeur of NYC that was taking place in 1945. I really like the type used, I feel like it best reflects 1945. In addition, the 4 gold and white lines under the main text gives it the grandeur feel. The illustration of the building elevates the typeface chosen. What i like about Pelvain’s style is that his color use of dulled colors best represents the time period and the elements he adds such as the crossing circles, best represent that time.
