First, I have the flu, am really sick, and a video is just not happening. If you’ve got questions, please Slack or email me.

Second, the best thing to do for this week is to check back on Week Ten’s unit description and schedule. This is the week to get organized and decide how you want to communicate with each other, how to divide up the work, etc.

Teams are a little bit of a problem. There’s only one team that seems to have formed organically — Group 1: Network Security. The members are:

  • Mohammed Afifi
  • Ka Ho Lam
  • Subahu Paul
  • Temitope James

Another set of ideas that seem to go together are cyber attacks, data protection, phishing, and protection against ransomware. So I’m going to call that Group 2, which would include:

  • Fahad Chaudhry
  • Mario Molina Flores
  • Ahmed Arabi
  • whoever posted on phishing.

That leaves solar panels, machine learning, and CRISPR-CAS9 gene editing. And I’m really not sure what to do about that.

So…

…everyone needs to email me by the end of the day Friday 4/8 and let me know 1) if these groups make sense AND 2) what you other folks would like to do. Mostly just give me a sense of what you would like to do at this point in terms of joining a group.

If you would like to go ahead and DM each other on Slack, feel free. If you would rather I share email addresses, let me know that, too.

Again, go back to Week Ten Unit to see what you need to be doing now.

Bottom line…

Figure out which group suits you best and let me know. And then get to work on the Team materials which should be posted by April 11.

If you’re having trouble figuring out a group, let me know and we’ll see what we can do.
