One of the biggest cultural differences between the Swiss and Western countries , is that Switzerland operates as a democracy. The Swiss are known to be jovial in diversity and independence . There are four official languages : Swiss German, French, Italian, and Romansh. The top languages  are Swiss German spoken by 64% and French comparatively by 20% of the population (World Review,2020).  Switzerland has one of the highest rates of immigration and is  the fifth happiest country in the world. Demographically, over a quarter of the population is non religious and the life expectancy rate averages out to eighty-two years old. Geographically, almost three quarters of Switzerland is urban areas.

Interlaken and the Jungfrau Region

Interlaken leads to the most popular ski resorts in Switzerland. Interlaken is located in Central Switzerland, along the  plains of the valley, as well as between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz (MySwissAlps,2020). The city is popular as central base because of the easily, accessible  Jungfraujoch railway and the proceeding travel benefits. The climate consist of clear skies because of Interlaken’s great geographic, placement.
