Happiness can be a complicated subject. Do you think of yourself as happy? In 2008, Denmark ranked as the happiest nation on the planet, according to the World Map of Happiness and the World Values Survey. These happiness surveys polled people around the globe on — you guessed it — how happy and satisfied they are with life. Folks in Denmark showed an impressively high degree of social connections, career satisfaction and political and economic stability — all of which are known to promote happiness.
But what does it even mean that the Danish consider themselves happier than a lot of other people around the world? What were the surveys measuring, exactly? According to Webster, happiness is “a state of well-being and contentment.” That emotional state the dictionary refers to is arguably different for everyone. At the same time, we know the physical effects of happiness; humans smile and laugh as a natural sign of glee. Certain physiological reactions, such as increased activity in the brain’s left prefrontal lobe and decreased amounts of cortisol (a stress hormone) coursing through the bloodstream, happen when we’re happy.

I measure my own happiness by how much joy in find in things I do at the same time I make others around me happy as well (mutual).
My happiest time was playing basketball for hours with my friends.
The pandemic really affected me positive and negatively. My happiness increased because schools were closed meaning more time for me to do whatever I wanted. But it also made me sad because there was things I wanted to continue doing school for example ask out a girl I used to like to prom, and my basketball team that I was in at the time. It was depressing and joyful at the same time.
Ill say I’m very happy I am a happy person I find humor to anything and I’m very humbled.
Ill say yes my life is Ideal for now with the necessities I need at the moment but in the future I’m going to need other things but for now I’ll say my life is Ideal for me. The ideal life for me is having my family, friends, food, roof over my head, and WiFi.
All these conditions are actually at the sweet spot.
I am very satisfied with my life but something that can change that is not having the money to sustain the way I live, and losing a love one.
Yes I strongly think that in the future I’ll be satisfied with my life I don’t really required much to be happy just food, a roof, and a source of entertainment and I’ll be alright.
Yes I Have gotten everything that’s important for me in my life.
If I could reset my life I won’t change anything for now. I haven’t lived for long yet so I can make mistakes along the way but as of now I love my life how it’s been and I won’t really change anything.
The happiest time of my life was I went back to my country and saw many people I haven’t seen for a lots years. Specially, I saw my grandma and grandpa because I haven’t seen their for long time ago and they change a lots. I went back my country to travel a lots different place with the people I haven’t seen a lots years.
•I’m not sure if I measure my own happiness, but whenever I am able to get my hand onto something that I really want and being able to do something I really like, a sense of happiness always hits me, and that’s probably how I measure my own happiness.
•I have a lot of memories being the happiest time of my life, one of them was when I was young and all my family still live under one roof. We will all share a meal made by my granda while we chat about our day and watch our favorite show while we all sit on the floor and guess the commercial being shown on the TV. It was one of my happiest time during my childhood. Another happiest time of mine, happened recently, I was able to attend my first ever concert held by my favorite KPOP group called SEVENTEEN. It was a dream a mine to be able to see them and breathe the same air as them, and being able to do that feels so fulfilling and brings me extreme joy.
•Totally. Pandemic literally ruined my mental health so does my happiness. We all know how the sudden transition from face-to-face learning to online learning, and honestly my experience on online class wasn’t really good. I didn’t learn a lot because my teachers really don’t care about giving students quality education that we all needed.
•Currently, I am mot yet satisfied with the life that I have. Well, I am grateful for all the things and that I have right now, but the quality of life that I desire will take a long time until I be able to achieve it. As for now, I am still satisfied with my life, since I have access with privileges and a lot of things.
•If I am able to achieve all my dream I can say that I will be able to be satisfied with my life in the future. Being able to provide for my needs and luxury and family will really satisfies me, what more if I can also help other people that are in need right?

10. Almost nothing, because thanks to everything I have learned from my mistakes and how to be a better person every day, and if I were to change something it would be the bad things I did so as not to repeat them.
I don’t measure my happiness I just do what I like and do what I feel is better for me.
The pandemic was a really sad time. I think it help me to change my perspective and the things that used to make me happy.
I think I’m a happy person, obviously there’s days of sadness, but overall, I’m happy with all the things that I have and the way that I’m working on to pursue the things that I want in the future.
I’m satisfied with how I’m working on to pursue what I want in life, so yes, I’m satisfied.
Know precisely how the future would be and how I’m going to feel is not something that I can be sure of, but from my current perspective I think I will be satisfied.
I don’t think I would change anything. The mistakes and things that I made in life are part of me, without those situations I won’t be who I am.
