WELCOME TO OUR CLASS! Here’s my personal introduction. Please post a self-introduction in this thread, as we won’t be doing this so fully in class. I’m Steven Bear, your teacher this semester. I was born in San Juan, P.R. and moved to NYC when I was three. My background in education was learning to teach Philosophy for Children. I’ve taught all ages.  I’ve been teaching at City Tech and many other places since the 1990s. I don’t live in the city anymore. I live with my wife and 15 year old, north of the city in Rockland county. My 19 year old is a sophomore in college. I’ve always loved this job, and I play music, drums, too, sometimes. I have lots of thoughts and opinions on what’s going on locally, in our country, and our world these days, and will certainly share some with you as we go along. I hope to learn about your thoughts and opinions, too. Sometimes we’ll read about and discuss current topics/events, especially in Unit 2,  Feel free to reply to this post with questions and comments, and I look forward to reading about all of you.
