Students will be tasked with searching for a topic to spark their own research and begin to discover issues and problems within their local communities.
To-Do After Class
- Reading: DRM, pgs. 6-33 /
- Read case studies: Promise, pg.142 and Sugar, pg. 174
- Complete Week 3 reading quiz.
From the chapter reading and one (1) of the case studies, bring in AT LEAST ONE question or comment you want to explore OR get more clarification on.
Begin to explore your topic—begin:
- Select an issue/topic you want to share within our theme of civic and community engagement.
- What do you see as the problem?
- Why is this topic important?
- What data can you find to support your assumption?
Share findings next class.
