PROJECT ARCHIVE

Now that we each are clear on our projects, we should assemble our research archives. The method of organization is personal. I use a combination of Dropbox, Pinterest, and iPhoto. Elvis may have great suggestions on best practices. My only requirement is that it is clear and logically organized.

These include the pitch letter to Graphic Mundi, their Script, Thumbnails, and initial prose articles written by Jay about Frankie King. Please read and review these materials so that we can compare them to the book. We can discuss this over the next 2 weeks on DISCORD.

  • HOMEWORK: OBJECT DRAWING In your sketchbook: Choose an object from your research that builds cultural and/or historical detail and practice drawing it. Experiment with the relationship between style and accuracy. Write an explanation of its significance for your intended reader.
  • Prepare questions for Author’s Visit
  • Continue work on MAPS & INFOGRAPHICS intended for your final project. Consider the different ways text and image interact on a page. 
  • Fill Pages In Comics Diary (aim for 5) – Write about your daily life in comics format.
