The class was problem solving oriented. And though in the real world you, as the TD, are expected to know how to do everything, it was nice to have a chance to collaborate and experiment with different ideas – some of these ideas being your own or a classmates. All of the problem solving methods that we learned in the classroom can be applied outside in the real world – outside of the entertainment industry. One of the biggest things I learned is how important the trifecta of time, cost, and quality are. I don’t think we had a single problem that didn’t take this into account.

We were given the chance to work with budgets and changes that can and will happen in the real world. Also being given scripts to read and analyze to make sure the show runs according to how it was written.

This semester was a true learning experience.
