Can justice be bought in america? This article is very sad. He sexual violated his two children and got away because he bought money for justice. This show a gap between poor and rich in america. This is not justice because rich  get away easier than poor because they do not have enough money to hire a good lawyer to fight for their justice. Does that mean rich people can break the laws as much as they want as long they have money, like O.J.? This is sick, what happen if he sexual harrass another child? This is unfair to poor people.

  1. Jenny this was a good article, and i must say that i am torn because i do believe that the prison system is failing it’s inmates, however; to allow him to plea “doge jail” is an outrage. There has to a certain degree of punishment, so the criminal can have time to comprehend his crime. This is not a plea that is available to all, therefore it is unfair.

Heather I agree with you I wonder what the innocent child will be thinking after hearing that the system couldn’t even fight for (child). It will take a lot of counseling from us as HUS professional for that child to ever trust any body especially the system (justice system) again.

  4. I agree with you Jenny, this is just wrong! It seems like this is the case when it comes to the rich vs poor. Oftern the rich get further as they step all over the poor. It torns me because there isn’t much anyone can do about that. At the end of the day those who get an easy pass from justice will only harm themselves more in the long run. I think that with the help of human service workers “justice” or “punishment” whichever you want to call it, will help the person who commited the crime. Things such as getting treatment for people who get DUI’s and going to anger management for those who in domestic violence situations, eventually help the person out. In the case of those who get off easy because they are rich will never get that help and in a way they will never truly know how to live a happy life. This is just what I believe!
