I used one of my own pictures because it was the clearest portrait photo I could find. The patterns I made were inspired by Mexican tiles. I did this because I am from Mexico, and I wanted to incorporate a bit of my culture into this portrait. I feel like I could have been more creative with my patterns because when I looked at the portrait, it feels like 1-2 patterns look a bit too similar to each other. Regardless of that, I’m proud of how it did come out because this is my first time using Adobe Illustrator. When I tried downloading this picture, my portrait looked a bit too pixelated, so I don’t feel like it does it justice.
